Staff in Training

It is our desire to create a program that will help train our future counselors and staff members. The SIT program will provide service and leadership opportunities to current high school students who have a desire to serve at Camp Wyldewood.

Current high school students who have completed their sophomore year can apply to be a SIT member. Team members will serve one session during the summer, either a 7-day or 11-day session. SIT’s will serve as support staff for our summer staff, serving in various capacities. The SIT program will allow our counselors more time to focus on building relationships with campers. SIT’s will not be in charge of campers or serve as counselors.

Requirements:

  • Applicants must have completed their sophomore year of high school by the time they plan to serve.
  • Complete SIT application including references and essay.
  • You must also be registered as a camper for another session (before or after).
  • Interview with the Director and Assistant Director.
  • Be willing to serve with a positive attitude.

Responsibilities:

  • Serve under the supervision of the summer Staff Leader.
  • Help serve meals and clean up after.
  • Help serve canteen.
  • Serve in other capacities when needed.
